PEGGY DIGGLEY: A success story enters its second year

PEGGY DIGGLEY: A success story enters its second year

Peggy Diggledey is not pink and plush. Peggy Diggledey is the new series for girls who don't mind getting the occasional scratch when romping around and playing.

The Peggy Diggledey success story is now entering its second year at goki and the publishers Oetinger-Verlag.

The new Peggy Diggledey read-aloud book "The Mysterious Pirate Treasure" is being published by Ellermann in the spring. It contains 18 funny, imaginatively illustrated read-aloud stories on 128 pages (item and image number: 58751).

Peggy's dog Klabauter is wonderfully shaggy and cuddly. He is loyal and certainly very clever and naturally a firm favourite with all children. They can now also play out their favourite ideas with Klabauter. The glove puppet can even bark and is available in time for spring (item and image number: 51555).

"Olle Scholle" is a very special game of dice for up to four landlubbers. With Peggy, rolling the dice is really fun (item and image number: 56832).

Among the many new items, one we have noticed in particular is a fun dice puzzle consisting of 20 dice with six beautiful, positive, playful illustrations (item and image number 57738), the wonderfully playful origami sets with fourteen colourful sheets and two sheets full of stickers that make children want to start folding (item and image number 58777) and the jumping jack model sets. This is where imagination meets creativity (item and image number 58774).

  • 56677 Peggy's Memory Game: Holidays, sea, wind, adventure, fun and wet feet. All of this is to be found in this memory game. The 16 lovingly drawn motifs of the 32-piece game evoke memories of past holidays. Memories in both senses of the word.
  • 56668 Peggy's Wobbly Tower Gale Force 9: A steady hand is required, as well as slow breathing and a little luck of the dice. This game trains the fine motor skills and is suitable exclusively as an indoor game from wind force 3! Made of solid wood.
  • 58515 Peggy's Chestnut Drill: Clamp the chestnut and drill away – it's that simple.
  • With Peggy's chestnut drill made of solid wood the most beautiful things can be made out of chestnuts – with practically no risk of injury. The drill is included.
  • 58490 Make a monkey of yourself – Peggy's fun schoolyard game: 24 sheets of paper and 192 stickers for boundless, imaginative handicraft and gluing fun with simple instructions.
  • 62928 Peggy's Magnifying Glass Box: Eyes open and look carefully. Just because an insect is so small, it doesn't have to be uninteresting. Most insects are well worth a closer look and offer us an entirely new perspective on this fascinating world of "small earthlings". Peggy's magnifying glass box helps us to get to know and appreciate them.
  • Important: Let the insects go again after viewing them!
  • 60836: The renaissance of the legendary wonder shell. A miracle! Place the shell in water for 5 minutes and genuine sea coral starts to grow!

This is Peggy Diggledey:

Outgoing, cheeky and cheerful – and unmistakable.

Peggy Diggledey lives with her friends and parents on a small island in the north. The island really exists. And it's almost real, too.

Peggy's great, great, great grandfather was a famous pirate. One of the good ones, it is said on the island, and Peggy is firmly convinced that this is true. There are also rumours of fabled treasure that is hidden somewhere on the island, but no one has ever seen it.

Peggy Diggledey is now 6 years old. The good pirate blood of her ancestors flows in her veins. She has no supernatural powers – but she can climb trees and jump on to fishing boats, she is full of enthusiasm and she can captivate people.

Peggy's constant companion is a shaggy dog called Klabauter. Pelle the parrot has long been part of the family and can say such wonderful words as "scumbag" or "stinker". Peggy can speak Low German and also knows one or two coarse expressions herself.

At the publishing company Oetinger they found the story so exciting that the read-aloud publisher Ellermann brought out three books about Peggy and her friends in January 2016.

This should get you in the mood for the seaside and for being captivated by the world of the Peggy Diggledey at the trade fair. We will be showing you the second wave of exciting products from Peggy's world at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg from 1 to 6 February.

goki: The lobster, the digger, the workbench ... revel in the new toys

The lobster is a real treat. The sea-dweller with the powerful claws is considered to be extremely tasty, but resists being consumed by humans with its tough shell. In Europe, the lobster is to be found mainly on the Atlantic coast. In Germany we find it off Helgoland, Germany's only deep-sea island, where its population is greatly nurtured.

But the lobster is also an attractive highlight in the goki range of pull-along animals.

Anyone who sees this solid wood sea-dweller in action can't help but smile. It's a delight to see the working claws snap and rattle. Admittedly, being from the north we have a special relationship with everything that comes from the sea, but even landlubbers will not be able to resist this charming crustacean.

As a pull-along animal, the goki lobster is almost as big as a Helgoland lobster (27 x 18 x 9 cm)

Now it's time to get digging! It's stable, functional, good to play with and looks like a real digger. It is the goki digger and we can recommend it with a clear conscience. A child doesn't need any more digger than this, and less would be too little.

goki nature: excellent toys in their most original form

The goki nature series stands for extremely high quality and natural woods. Its pleasant feel conveys a sense of warmth, security and absolute naturalness.

The series deliberately dispenses with dyes and colours. The functionally aesthetic design of the natural toys is also intended to foster children's creativity and imagination.

Last year designer Silvia Mathwig won the Special 2016 of the German Design Award. "This prize is worth being won by the best; it honours innovative products as well as their manufacturers and designers who are pioneers in the German and international design landscape", is how the German Design Council describes the German Design Award.

In 2013, the 200 Building Blocks were awarded the Golden Rocking Horse as Toy of the Year in the category "For artists and builders". This special toy was developed by Jürgen Knischewski.

The wheel loader was recently awarded the German Brand Award for exemplary brand management as the representative of the "goki nature" brand.

"This series caters for the consumers' desire for untreated wooden toys. It is quite astounding how many completely different structures can be made using the building blocks which all have the same dimensions," says Sonja Prüter, product developer at Gollnest & Kiesel, clearly delighted by the prestigious award. "The building blocks promote the creativity and imagination of children in particular due to the greatly reduced design and the complete absence of colours."

The Viking game Kubb in its most natural form as the Toy of the Year 2016 won the audience award "The Golden Rocking Horse" in the category "For the whole family". The prize is awarded annually by the family magazine "familie & co." and the Association of the German Toy Industry. At goki nature, the Kubb game is made of exquisite woods for true Kubb purists.
